The Miracle Skin Care

Steven finally tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Janice, and it was the beginning of the wonderful life ahead for them.

Not wanting to live from monthly salaries, Steven suggested to his new wife on starting a family business. Janice agreed, as she too was a believer in financial freedom. After some discussions, they decided to go into business selling ladies’ products – they knew most women would spare no effort in keeping themselves beautiful. A shop selling skin care products was their perfect decision.

Months long of preparation got them to where they were, and the opening of their shop was a blast. It wasn’t long before they saw profits coming in, and of course, credit went to the chemistry between this pair of newly wed. Also not forgetting Steven’s quick-witted mind and a mouth that could even talk a bird down the tree.

One day, a lady – who looked to be in her 60s – walked into their shop and was looking for products that would make her look younger. Steven was the only person behind the counter, as Janice was in the storeroom checking out stocks that needed replenishing.

The lady took from the shelf a revitalizing cream that claimed effective against wrinkles on her face in her hands, and walked over to the counter asking, “Excuse me. May I ask if this product is effective? And how long will it take for me to see the results?

Not wasting another second, Steven replied, “We have been using the products we are selling since the opening of this shop, and that was 2 months ago. As for the effectiveness, I’m sorry to tell you I do not know. Perhaps I can ask my mom for you.”

“Yes please.” Said the polite lady.

“MOM!” Steven shouted, and then walked towards the storeroom. He put his hand through the door, and pulled Janice out by her arm. “My mom will tell you more about the product you have interest in.” He said to the lady.

The lady looked at Janice, with the cream still in her hands. She could not figure an expression apt enough for the situation she found herself in.

“Can I help you?” Janice asked as she walked over with a smile that would brighten anyone’s day. Few seconds of silence ensued, before the lady started to speak.

“How much does this cost?”
